Episode 10 of Australia’s Next Top Model saw the competition come to an end and the winner revealed! The girls were tested with an 8 page shoot for Elle Australia & a catwalk with the Top 11 & ANTM alumni! Who will be Australia’s Next Top Model for 2016?
It all came down to one last epic photoshoot. An 8 page editorial for Elle Magazine Australia, shooting with the renowned George Antoni – who was the girls photographer in week 1, it was great to come full circle. The girls were thrown into the deep end and they definitely rose to the occasion. Sabine started off strong and picked up the shoot’s vibe right off the bat. Watching Sabine’s first shot definitely wouldn’t have helped Aleyna’s nerves and this saw her take a bit of time to warm up and shake of the nerves. It was a tougher shoot for Aleyna. Not only dealing with the pressure of her consistency but also needing to lend herself to a style that was slightly more foreign to her – edgy! With such a classic look, paired with the amazing Modern Princess styling, it could have been easy for Aleyna to produce a “pretty picture”. Justine Cullen, editor of Elle initially gravitated to Sabine saying she’s the girl they’d typically book. Sabine was incredibly fluid in her movement and naturally gravitated towards the edgy modern princess persona that the shoot called for. It didn’t take long before Aleyna got into the groove and by the second shot, Justine confessed it was tough to split the girls.
It was long day on set and really challenged the girls but their professionalism and maturity shone through. It really highlighted how far they’d come from week one in the competition.
The girls had one last hurdle before finding out who would be Australia’s Next Top Model for Season 10 – the catwalk alongside their fellow contestants and 40 ANTM Alumni from Season 1-9. It was an incredible show and was a great chance for the girls to catch up and show their skills.
In the end it came down to half a point with Aleyna being crowned Australia’s Next Top Model.
She consistently performed throughout the whole competition, showing her versatility through commercial and high fashion shoots, screen tests and castings. She really is an incredible all round model which will see her have amazing longevity in the industry!
Huge congratulations to both Aleyna and Sabine. The 10th season of Australia’s Next Top Model was filled with some of the best talent the show has seen. With such different yet strong styles, there’s no doubt that both girls are going to have amazing careers.
