We were lucky enough visit Hong Kong for the first time with Calvin Klein for the Justin Bieber #mycalvins event. We arrived in early the day and thankfully had enough time to check out some of the amazing and authentic sights of the city.
We headed over to some amazing traditional markets which was an great experience filled with colour, culture, sights and sounds. We then had a beautiful modern chinese lunch on the roof top of Duddells, this was a must do.
We went to a tradition temple in the heart of the city where we learnt about the traditions within. We placed incense, made a silent pray as is customary and took in the amazing history.
We road the Mid-Levels Escalators which are the world’s longest outdoor covered escalators so if you’re keen for a slow ride, check this out! But no joke, this is definitely something different and a real Hong Kong experience.
It was a jam packed day and it was about time to get ready to see the Biebs perform. We headed back to the Mandarin Oriental to change before heading out to the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, a former airport that has been repurposed into an industrial cargo cruise terminal where the Calvin Klein event was being held.
Hong Kong was a great adventure and it’s a city unlike any we’d seen before and definitely one we are keen to check out again. We’d love to hear your must do’s in Hong Kong for next time because no doubt we will be back again soon.
