Suit Up

When it comes to injecting personality into a suit, playing with shirt and tie combinations is key. Picking a bold colour or pattern combination in your shirt and tie gives you a point of difference and brings versatility to your suits. Adding colour to an otherwise neutral “uniform” makes it easy to head straight out after work without the need to head home and change. Think outside the square with colour and pattern combinations. Consider mixing prints of different scales or prints that share a single colour.

Don’t forget to pay close attention not only to the cut of your suit, but to the cut of your shirt, the width of the tie and the collar style. While individually the little things might not seem like they make a difference, take into account the bigger picture, it’s noticeable. While classic, the addition of a french cuff and a pocket square is both stylish and confident. These additions also give more room to express yourself and have fun with your work uniform.
